This is a superb antique French Deco coffee grinder dating from about 1930. It was made by the Peugeot Company who produced coffee grinders from 1840.

This coffee grinder is fully functional and would make a useful and decorative addition to either a vintage or ultra modern kitchen.

The grinding mechanism sits on a sturdy wooden base with it's original cream and turquoise blue paint now pleasingly distressed with the passage of time.

On the front of the base is a metal plaque with the trade mark half moon of the Peugeot Company with the words 'Ouvement Acier Forge PEUGEOT FRÈRES Garanti'.

The coffee beans are placed in the hopper on top of the grinder and when the handle is turned the coffee is ground into the little drawer below.

The grinder sits on 4 cute little sturdy feet and the drawer has a little wooden knob.

All is in good order with the expected patination from the passage of time.

It measures :- 21 cm (8.25 inches) high x 14 cm (5.5 inches) wide x 14 cm (5.5 inches) deep. These measurements do not include the handle.
