This is a divine antique French ormolu picture frame dating from the 1800's.

It would be perfect for a château chic boudoir, perhaps placed on a bedside table.

We have left it as we found it with this lovely photograph of a young woman. The photagraph is dated January 1896 on the back. This can be left or replaced with a cherished photo as required.

The frame is ormolu and has a gorgeous acanthus leaf crest.

It stands on two ball feet. On the back is the easel spring mechanism which works smoothly. The back stand is good and strong and there is a ring for hanging the frame on a wall.

The gilding on the ormolu has mellowed over the years to timeworn perfection.

The glass diplay panel is thick and heavy with a bevelled edge. It is original to the frame and is in excellent condition

The frame measures 18.5 cm (7.25 inches) high x 10 cm (4 inches) wide.

While standing it measures 11 cm (4.25 inches) deep.
