This is a delightful silver plated antique French dish / fruit bowl dating from the late 1800's. It has a gorgeous shape and is decorated in beautiful detail.

The dish stands on elegant, little leaf embellished legs. The top rim of the dish has beautiful swirling acanthus leaf crests to the sides and ends. These are joined by a decorative, undulating border embellished with faux ribbon ties.

The silver plating on the dish has worn and patinated over the years to wonderful effect. This is an effect that could not be replicated and combined with the gorgeous detail on the dish makes for a very decorative and atmospheric piece.

The dish is sturdy and would make a fabulous addition to a well laid table.

It measures 28 cm (11 inches) wide x 10 cm (4 inches) high x 20 cm (8 inches) deep.
