This is a charming vintage French metal bottle opener in the shape of a pretty little bird.

It is a weighty little piece and is a pleasure to use and handle. The bird is small and plumptious and holds it's little wings out to it's side. The feathers on it's wings and back are beautifully defined.

The tail of the bird forms the actual bottle opener and it's underside forms a grip for removing screw top bottle caps.

The silver gilding on the bird has mellowed over the years to a soft pearlescent hue.

The bottle opener measures :- 8.25 cm (3.25 inches) long x 6 cm (2.3 inches) wide x 4 cm (1.5 inches) high.
