B662 - SOLD

This is a superb pair of top quality antique ladies shoes in fabulous condition.

They were made in Stafford, England in the early 1900's under the Gainsborough brand.

They are laced and of very elegant shape with very pointed toes and low cuban heels. The black leather is of very fine quality, in superb condition and is very tactile. Inside the shoes are lined with soft tan leather. They are gold embossed 'The Gainsborough - Under Royal Patronage - The Gainsborough Welted Boot'.

The soles of the shoes show that they have been worn but the leather of the exterior and the insoles shows no wear and they must have been worn by a very light footed lady.

The shoes are quite small, possibly size 3 or 4. They measure 25 cm (9.75 inches) from the back of the heel to the tip of the toe and are 7.5 cm (3 inches) wide.

These gorgeous shoes would make fabulous display pieces and be a desirable addition to a collection.

Another divine antique find from La Belle Étoffe.
