This is a beautiful antique French wedding couronne, bridal tiara dating from about 1900.

It has a silk bound wire band onto which a plethora of pretty and delicate confections are attached. There are pearlised leaves and exquisite little paper flowers with fluffy stamens. Amongst these are tulle shells within which nestle faux seed pearls and a tiny paper flower. It is made in incredible detail and has survived the years in excellent condition.

The tiara is extremely light in weight and would be very comfortable to wear. It could be sewn on to a veil or incorporated into a hair style for a big day. It can be held in place by placing the elastic loop under the hair at the back of the head.

The tiara would fit most female heads and  the front of it would be 4 cm (1.5 inches) high when worn.

This beautiful tiara would make the perfect 'Something Old' for any wedding or could just be kept and treasured for it's beauty.
