B709 - SOLD

This is a divine set of 6 vintage French silk lampshades dating from the mid 1900's. They would be perfect to add a château chic finishing touch to a 6 armed chandelier or could be used for wall lights or table lamps.

The silk is a lovely shade of pale cream and is finely pleated. The top and bottom of the shades are trimmed with passementerie. This is very pale grey in colour and has serpentine stitching worked in gold thread. That on the bottom of the shades also benefits from fringing in a pale cream.

Inside the shades have a wire fitting for slipping on to a candle bulb.

The shades are in excellent vintage condition with no damage to the fabric.

Each shade measures :-

8 cm (3 inches) high

12.5 cm (5 inches) across the bottom.

8 cm (3 inches) across the top.

This is a lovely set of lampshades in that hard to find size and another divine brocante find from La Belle Étoffe.
