This is a divine antique French ormolu picture frame dating from the 1800's.

It would be perfect for a boudoir, perhaps placed on a bedside table with a collection of others.

The frame has a beautiful acanthus leaf crest and from this delicate flower garlands meander downwards.

The frame sits on acanthus leaf scrolled feet and from these further acanthus leaf scrolls surge upwards to meet the descending flowers.

The frame holds a charming antique photograph of a  young boy in a sailor suit clutching his stick & hoop. This could be changed if required.

On the back of the frame is a brass plate and a sturdy back rest.

The frame is in good condition, the glass intact. The ormolu has mellowed over the years to an atmospheric old gold colour.

The frame measures 19.5 cm (7.75 inches) high x 13.5 cm (5.25 inches) wide.

While standing it is 10 cm (4 inches) deep.
