This is a gorgeous antique French trinket box dating from the 1800's. It would be perfect for holding a few trinkets and would add a château chic touch to any boudoir.

It is of superb quality. It is made in porcelain in the most gorgeous shade of turquoise and is decorated with ormolu.

The lid has a central ormolu medallion and the rim has a detailed ormolu trim.

The bowl has a lovely ormolu leaf garland around it's circumferance and there is an ormolu trim to the base.

The ormolu has mellowed over the years to a fabulous shade of old gold which looks superb against the turquoise of the porcelain.

The tinket box is in good condition and is sturdy.

It measures 8.5 cm (3.3 inches) in diameter x 5.5 cm (2.25 inches) high.
