B741 - SOLD

This is a stunning antique French terracotta bust in the Neoclassical style and is, we believe, of a young Adonis. It dates from the early 1900's. It is a very architectural piece and would add an authentic château chic touch to an interior.

He is of good quality. His features are clear and his shoulders and back are lovely and smooth. By carving into the terracotta the artist has achieved the wonderful texture of his thick curly hair.

He is in good condition and has developed a fabulous subtle patina over the years.

He measures  approx. :- 33.5 cm (13.25 inches) high x 24 cm (9.5 inches) wide x 15 cm (6 inches) deep.
