This is a stunning pair of antique French ormolu curtain tie / hold backs to add a château chic finishing touch to a curtain ensemble.

They are particularly substantial and weighty pieces of lovely quality with excellent detail and definition to the casting of the metal.

The back plate has an acanthus leaf design and finial. The fascia of the hook has a swirling acanthus leaf with 2 scrolls.

The gilding on the ormolu has a subtle old gold hue.

The tie backs have a strap on the reverse of the back plate and can be fixed by hanging them on a hook.

They measure :- H 12 cm (4.75 inches) x W 4.5 cm (1.75 inches) x D 14 cm (5.5 inches).
