This is a divine antique French linen trousseau / dowry sheet dating from the 19th Century. It is of superb quality and is beautifully hand embroidered and monogrammed with the initials D & B.

The lowest edge of the sheet has a ladder stitch border with a central embroidered monogram. The monogram is 9.5 cm (3.75 inches) high x 23 cm (9 inches) wide. It has the letters D & B beautifully embroidered with smooth satin stitch and each letter is adorned with 3 sweet broderie anglais daisies.

The linen of the sheet is fabulous. It is very heavy, has gorgeous texture and drapes beautifully. The colour is a true antique white.

The sheet has been laundered and is very crisp and fresh. It is in excellent condition. I can find just one tiny rust mark.

The sheet measures 250 cm (8 ft 2.5 inches) long x 202 cm (6 ft 7.5 inches) wide.

This superb antique monogrammed sheet would make a lovely wedding present. It would be perfect for a bed and would also make a divine curtain.
