B828 - SOLD

This is a gorgeous vintage Italian gilded shelf / bedside table / hall table dating from about 1950. It is as decorative as it is useful and would add a château chic finishing touch to an interior.

The piece is decorated with an exquisite gilded design with an antique white background. The gilding has a lovely antique patina with a little distressing.

The table has two fittings on the back to hang on a wall. There is a top shelf and a useful compartment under, perhaps to take books or magazines.

It is in good sturdy condition. There is one old repair to an embellishment on one of the sides (see pics) but this is not load bearing and certainly does not detract from the beauty of the piece.

It measures 38.5 cm (15 inches) high x 37 cm (14.5 inches) wide x 29 cm (11.5 inches) deep.

A beautiful and useful little piece of furniture and another divine brocante find from La Belle Étoffe.
