This is a stunning vintage French tapestry wall hanging dating from the mid 1900's. It would add a fabulous château chic finishing touch to a room and make a great bed head.

It depicts a fabulous hunting scene with lots of action. It is set in a beautiful wooded valley with a gorgeous château in the background. A superbly dressed lady and gentleman ride their magnificent steeds as their dogs persue their prey.

The colours are very subtle and fresh. The scene is dominated by shades of turquoise and blue in the vegetation and water which contrasts beautifully with the browns and ochres of the tree trunks and ground.

The tapestry is framed by a decorative border. It is made of wool and linen and hangs beautifully. It is in excellent condition and looks like it has never been used.

It measures :- 153 cm (5 ft 0.25 inches) wide x 110 cm (3ft 7.25 inches) high.
