This is a beautiful antique French mount dating from the 19th Century. It is very architectural and would look superb on a wall or would be perfect as a central point from which to hang drapes, perhaps over a bed as a ciel de lit.

It is beautifully carved in mahogany and is in the shape of a laurel leaf wreath tied with a gorgeous bow with ribbon tails.

It is a very 3 dimensional piece, is substantial and has good weight. It is in good condition with just a few minor chips to the tips of the laurel leaves.

There is a loop for hanging it on a wall.

The mount measures :- 25 cm (9.75 inches) high x 21 cm (8.25 inches) wide. When hanging on a wall, the top of the wreath extends forward by 13.5 cm (5.25 inches).

A stunningly unique piece to add an authentic château chic finishing touch and another superb antique French find from La Belle Étoffe.
