This is a beautiful pair of antique French ormolu curtain tie / hold backs to add a château chic finishing touch to a curtain ensemble.

They are of lovely quality with excellent detail and definition to the casting of the metal.

The back plate and the fascia of the hook has a gorgeous swirling acanthus leaf design.

The gilding on the ormolu has mellowed over the years to a subtle antique patina.

The tie backs have a strap on the reverse of the back plate and can be fixed by hanging them on a hook.

They measure :- H 16 cm (6.25 inches) x W 4.5 cm (1.75 inches) x D 10 cm (4 inches).

A superb pair of tie backs to add a château chic statement and another divine antique French find from La Belle Étoffe!
