This is an absolulely delightful antique French doll's dinner set dating from around 1920. The set must have been never used as the pieces are still tied on to their tray!

The pieces are made of aluminium. There are 4 plates, 4 knives, 4 forks, 4 beakers, 4 napkin rings complete with gingham fabric napkins, a salver, a cruet receptacle, a bowl and last, but certainly not least, a gorgeous tureen complete with it's own trivet and lid.

All of this sits on a sweet tray with a plywood base and woven raffia sides. The tray is trimmed with red to match it's red and white gingham cardboard lining.

The set appears to be complete and unused. It even still has 3 little red ribbon bows from it's original packaging, now faded with the passage of time.

One of the handles of the tray has broken off otherwise the set is in excellent antique condition.

The tray measures 35.5 cm (14 inches) wide x 24 cm (9.5 inches) deep.
The plates are approx. 7.5 cm (3 inches) in diameter.
The tureen on it's trivet stands approx. 7.5 cm (3 inches) high.
