B912 - SOLD

This is a divine antique French glass and toleware bon bon dish dating from the 1800's. It would also be superb for trinkets and would be perfect in a château chic boudoir.

The glass bowl is a stunning shade of turquoise and has an exquisite frilly edge. It is 'cinched' in the middle with a wirework frame which forms the handle. The handle is delicately entwined with toleware flowers and leaves. The effect is absolutely charming.

The dish has survived the years in wonderful condition. The glass is intact with no chips or cracks. The gilding on the toleware has mellowed to a lovely old gold hue.

It measures 12 cm (4.75 inches) high x 13 cm (5 inches) wide x 8.5 cm (3.3 inches) deep.

Another divine antique French find from La Belle Étoffe.
