This is a superb set of 4 antique French ormolu curtain tie / hold backs dating from the 1800's. They would certainly add a château chic finishing touch to a room.

They are hinged so they hang freely from the wall and allow drapes to be secured back in a natural and elegant manner.

The front of the hook has an acanthus leaf  bud design and the back plate is simple but stylish.

The gilding to the ormolu has mellowed over the years to a lovely antique patina.

The tie backs have two holes in the backplate to fix them to the wall.

Each tie back measures :- H 33 cm (13 inches) x W 2.5 cm (1 inch) x D 15.5 cm (6 inches).

This is a fabulous set of curtain tie backs to add a château chic finishing touch and another divine antique French find from La Belle Ètoffe.
