This is an adorable antique French little print in a repoussé frame dating from the 1920's.

The subject is the most beautiful mother embracing her equally gorgeous baby. The mother has enormous eyes and has a fashionable 1920's hairstyle and red lipstick. She has a bag full of beautiful pink roses over her arm. Her baby has chubby pink cheeks and curly blonde hair. The scene is sublime.

The frame is equally delicious. It is made of a very thin repoussé metal. The detail is amazing. At the base of the print is a gorgeous fan and the sides are very intricately decorated. It sits on scrolled acanthus leaf feet.

The print is on card and the colours are soft pastels. The gilding on the frame has mellowed to a lovely old gold hue.

The back of the frame is also made of card and there is a card back rest. This will support the print on a fabric covered base as we have shown in our photos.

The print and it's frame measures 20.5 cm (8 inches) high x 13 cm (9 inches) wide.

A truly unique little print to add a 1920's finishing touch and another divine antique French brocante find from La Belle Étoffe!
