This is a fabulous vintage  French enamel kitchen towel rack / accroche torchon dating from about 1970.

It has an amazing retro design which is just so kitsch! The design is a stone kitchen wall with a wooden shelf covered in jugs and fruit and vegetables. A brass warming pan and spatula hang from the wall and there is even a bottle of Chianti.

Across the middle of the rack are 4 hooks to take the towels.

The rack has 2 slots for attaching it to a wall or cupboard.

The enamel has distressed around the edge but this just adds character to this lovely vintage piece.

It measures :-  W 34.5 cm (13.5 inches) X H 9.5 cm (3.75 inches).

A charming towel rack to add an authentic retro finishing touch to a vintage kitchen and another superb antique French brocante find from La Belle Étoffe!
