An absolutely stunning antique French oak sideboard, formerly a church vestment cabinet, with 18 drawers.

This cabinet was originally much deeper and was used to store the ecclesiastical robes of the church clergy.

In more recent years however the depth of the cabinet has been skillfully reduced to give it the practicality of a piece of furniture that will sit easily in a house.

As with most church pieces this sideboard / vestment cabinet is of excellent quality.

The sides are panelled and there are 3 banks of drawers.

The central bank of 8 large shallow drawers is flanked on either side by a bank of 5 further drawers graduating in size.

The oak of the cabinet has fabulous graining and glows with a myriad of shades and tones of colour.

This is a real statement piece of furniture combining beauty with practicality.
