This is a superb antique French spelter garden planter / jardinière dating from the 1800's.

It is of a size perfect to take a couple of cyclamen and would sit beautifully on a window ledge.

It is highly decorative and is made in wonderful detail. It sits on 4 scrolled acanthus leaf feet and has superb scrolled handles. The sides have a central acanthus leaf crest beneath which exquisite fruit and leaf garlands trail.

The planter has a charming lift out zinc tray to take the plants. This is in good condition with no holes.

The silvering on the spelter has taken on a wonderful palette of subtle greys over the years.

The planter measures :- H 13 cm (5 inches) x W 33 cm (143inches) x D 13 cm (5 inches).

This is a divine planter / jardinière to add a château chic touch and another superb antique French architectural find from La Belle Étoffe!
