A pretty and unusual vintage Italian painted toleware chandelier with 8 arms.

The chandelier is of good proportion, having good height as well as width.

A profusion of pink flowers on slender stalks burst from the base of the chandelier.

The flowers are interspersed with tendrils of ivy in a divine shade of green.

The colour combination is sublime and the detail on the chandelier is exquisite.

The ivy leaves have fine veining and the flowers have protruding stamens and many petals.

The 8 arms sweep elegantly upwards from the pink foliate base.

The lights are held in pretty fern leaf like cups that are colour matched to the pink flowers and foliate base.

A further fern like cup surrounds the base of the chain.

The paint on the chandelier is in good order and has comfortably mellowed over the years.
