L243 - SOLDThis is a spectacular vintage Italian gilded toleware chandelier with a plethora of crystals. It is of impressive proportions - the central column is tall giving it good height as well as breadth. The 8 arms are festooned with feathery leaves and it is from these that the crystals hang. The crystals beneath the arms are large, up to 7.5 cm, and those on the central column are much smaller and more delicate. The candle bulbs are held on large flat bobeche from which a shower of beaded pear drops fall. The whole effect is stunning and this chandelier would add a château chic statement to any room. The gilding has a lovely antique gold hue. The chandelier has a long impressive chain and a matching ceiling rose.
