This is the head and upper torso of a rare antique French child's mannequin dating from the very early 1900's.

Although meant to be attached to the rest of the mannequin, now sadly long gone, the resultant bust will now sit on a flat surface and can be used to display hats and jewellery.

The face of the mannequin is exquisitely pretty. She has rosebud pink lips and stunning blue eyes and it is these eyes that give this mannequin it's rarity, for they are made of glass.

They are made in amazing detail and are of the highest quality. The whites of the eyes are porcelain in colour. The irises are a gorgeous shade of blue which graduates to brown around the pupil. The eyes are incredibly life like and give the child's face an angelic quality.

The paint on the mannequin has distressed over the years to wonderful effect.

She measures :- 44 cm (17.25 inches) high x 21 cm (8.25 inches) wide x 24 cm (9.5 inches) deep.

A stunning rare antique mannequin to use for display in a vintage clothes or hat shop or to keep and treasure as part of a collection.
