This is an exquisite antique French doll's salon set dating from about 1920. The quality of, and attention to detail on, the set is quite exceptional.

The set is made in metal and consists of a sofa, 2 armchairs, 2 rocking chairs and a table with a vase of flowers.

The cushions on the sofa & chairs are beautifully made in repoussé metal. They have 2 tone silver and gold gilding and are further decorated with yellow enamel. The back of each of the seats has a crest consisting of 2 embossed 'wings'.

The legs & rockers of the sofa and chairs have further embossed decoration and the shapely arms have twisted wirework uprights.

The table has a round mother of pearl top with a twisted wirework edge. It has 3 embossed 'wing' feet. There is an utterly charming freestanding vase of flowers which sits on the table. The vase has a wavy filigree base and the 3 flowers are made from red jewelled paste stones and have green enamel leaves. Just gorgeous!

The set is in excellent antique condition. There is just a little patination to the mother of pearl surface on the table.

We have photographed the chairs with a 2 Euro piece, a British pound coin and a U.S. quarter dollar to give an indication of size.

A truly exceptional set of doll's furnitue to add to a collection and another divine antique French find from La Belle Etoffe.
