This is a sublime set of 3 antique French textile covered boudoir boxes dating from the 1920/30's. It is difficult to find these boxes, especially in good condition, so to find a set of 3 is amazing! They would look fabulous stacked up in a boudoir or perhaps a sewing room.

The boxes are made of card and are covered in the most gorgeous cotton fabric of vibrant florals on a jolly red background. The textile is in very good vintage condition with no marks and the merest hint of fading.

The bottoms of the boxes are covered in a brown marbled paper. The interiors are also lined with paper and that of the medium and large box shows a few very minor characteristics of use. The medium sized box has also had a repair to the paper of the bottom left hand corner of the lid (please see photos). These characteristics are very minor and do not detract. All 3 boxes are sturdy.

The largest box measures :- W 39.5 cm (15.5 inches) x H 8.5 cm (3.3 inches) x D 23 cm (9 inches).

The medium box measures :- W 33 cm (13 inches) x H 8 cm (3.2 inches) x D 21 cm (8.25 inches).

The smallest box measures :- W 27.5 cm (10.75 inches) x H 7.5 cm (3 inches) x D 17.75 cm (7 inches).
