B2023 - Magnificent Antique French Bronze Picture / Photo Frame With Cherub, Putti Face

This is a magnificent antique French picture frame with a stand dating from the 19th Century. It would be the perfect way to display a cherished photo. 

It is made in bronze and has a fabulous verdigris patina. It has an acanthus leaf and flower crest, beneath which, to the left, a beautiful cherub's face peeps. Further acanthus leaf scrolls and flowers descend down each side of the frame ending with a flourish which forms each of the feet - just fabulous.

The frame has a sturdy stand. On the back of the frame is a plate with 3 screws which secures the glass and the photo. 

The frame is in good antique condition. It is very substantial weighing over 1.2 kg.

The frame measures :- 30 cm (11.8 inches) high x 19 cm (7.5 inches) wide.
The aperture measures :- approx. 12.5 cm (4.9 inches) high x approx 8 cm (3.1 inches) wide.
