B1811 - SOLDThis is a superb antique French planter / jardinière dating from the 1800's. It would be perfect to take a couple of cyclamen on a window ledge or shelf and would look superb filled with roses on a dinner table. The jardinière is highly decorative and cast in wonderful detail. It has beautiful acanthus leaf scrolled handles with bunch of grape detail. It sits on 4 sturdy feet. The sides have a stunning laurel garland crest beneath which is a central oval with a ribbon and rose garland to either side. The jardinière is made from spelter and is a weighty piece. The silver gilding on the spelter has mellowed over the years but still catches the light beautifully. The interior of the jardinière has a lift out zinc tray. The jardinière is in good condition and would add a gorgeous finishing touch to a château chic interior. It measures :- W 31 cm (12.1 inches) x H 13 cm (5.1 inches) x D 12.5 cm (4.9 inches).
