B1785 - SOLD

This is a sublime antique French wall hanging glazed cupboard / vitrine dating from the 19th Century. It is wonderfully decorative and is the perfect size to display a treasured religious figurine. We have photographed it with a porcelain Virgin Mary (not included) which is listed in our other items.

The cupboard is made in a dark wood which has a lovely patina. The sides are sloped so that the cupboard will fit in a corner but as one can see from our photos it will sit just as well on a flat wall.

The cupboard has a divine cross crest highlighted with gilding.

The door is glazed and has two little hinges and a hook fastener. The glass has a little scuffing from the passage of time.

The interior of the cupboard has it's original old paint in a gorgeous atmospheric shade of taupe.

There is a metal loop on the back for hanging.

The cupboard is in sturdy antique condition.

It measures :- 50 cm (19.6 inches) high x 22.5 cm (8.8 inches) wide x 10.5 cm (4.1 inches) deep.
The glass display area is :- 24 cm (9.5 inches) high x 16.75 cm (6.6 inches) wide.

A gorgeous little vitrine for a contemplative niche and another divine antique French brocante find from La Belle Étoffe.
