This is a stunning antique French Art Deco letter rack dating about 1930. It is a very handsome piece and would grace the grandest of executive desks.

It is of very high quality and is made in Bird's Eye Maple with fabulous graining and colour. The shape is typical of the Art Deco style with lovely domed contours.

The rack has 3 central slots for letters and to either side are 2 slots for pens and pencils. Below is a cute little drawer for paper clips, pencil sharpeners etc..

It stands on a flat base which has four felt pads to avoid scratching.

The rack has the gorgeous Bird's Eye Maple on all four sides so it could stand in the middle of a desk. We have left the wood as we found it but it would polish even further if required.

The rack is in excellent condition with just one tiny chip to the left hand side of the front panel which you would have to search to find.

The rack measures 31 cm (12.25 inches) wide x 16 cm (6.25 inches) high x 9 cm (3.5 inches) deep.
