This is a heavenly set of 5 tiny antique French silk lampshades dating from about 1910 to 1920.  They are in amazing condition considering their age. They would be perfect to add a château chic finishing touch to a 5 armed chandelier.

The deep pink silk is very fine and is gently pleated. The top and bottom of the shades are trimmed with wire passementerie now faded to a dark old gold.

Inside, the shades have a wire fitting for slipping on to a candle bulb.

The shades are sturdy and in good antique condition. The silk is very delicate and there is a tiny area of wear on two of the shades (please see photos) which you have to search to find.

Each shade measures :-

8.5 cm (3.3 inches) high

9 cm (3.5 inches) across the bottom.

6 cm (2.5 inches) across the top.
