B1375 - SOLDThis is a superb set of 6 of antique French gilded metal curtain pole finials dating from the 19th Century. They would be a perfect château chic finishing touch for a triple aspect room. Their shape is of a pineapple in a curly acanthus leaf cup. They are of excellent quality and weight with marvelous detail & definition to the casting of the metal. The gilding on the metal has mellowed over the years while still retaining golden highlights which catch the light beautifully. Three of the finials have their original screws for fixing to a pole. We have added a modern screw to the other three. The finials are all sturdy and in good antique condition. The column of one of the finials is slightly shorter, 0.5 cm (less than 0.25 inch), than the others but it is sturdy and will not look different in situ. The finials measure:- 8.5 cms (3.4 inches) high not including the screws x approx. 5.5 cms (2.25 inches) wide. The base plate will take a 3.75 cms (1.5 inch) diameter pole. This superb set of curtain pole finials is from a carefully selected collection of gorgeous antique French curtain accessories at 'La Belle Étoffe'.
