This is a gorgeous antique French hand made filet lace pelmet dating from the 19th Century. It would be beautiful at a window, or to frame a door, or perhaps hung above a bed as a ciel de lit.

The pelmet is made in a cotton filet lace. It has a latticework frame within which are fabulous handworked hydrangeas. The shaped inner edge is trimmed with a plethora of crocheted bobbles - just lovely.

There is a pocket along the top to take a pole.

The pelmet it is in good antique condition. It is white in colour. There are one or two small areas that have yellowed a little and a few pulled threads but nothing to detract from the beauty of this lovely piece.

The pelmet measures :- 174 cm ( cm (5 ft 8.5 inches) long x 130 cm (4 ft 3.25 inches) wide.
