B1807 - SOLDThis is a truly fabulous antique French bridal couronne dating from the late 1800's / early 1900's. It is a spectacular example of it's type and could now be incorporated into a modern day bridal ensemble to give 'the something old' finishing touch. It is made of an amazing profusion of tiny wax buds and flowers all tightly wired together. These are interspersed with lovely milky opaque paste stones and beads. The crown has good height rising to 10 cm (4 inches) at the front. The back is beautifully finished with two tail flourishes. The crown has a fabulous atmospheric colour combination of brown, antique cream and white. It has survived the years in good antique condition. It measures :- 10 cm (4 inches) high at the front. As it sits now the inside width is 13 cm (5.1 inches) & it is 23.5 cm (9.25 inches) from the inside of the front to the end of the tails. However as the tiara is wired it can be manipulated to fit most heads. We have photographed it on an antique mannequin head. This beautiful couronne is from a carefully selected collection of gorgeous antique French decorative pieces & accessories at 'La Belle Étoffe'.
