B1921 - SOLD

This is a superb antique French oval plinth / display stand. It would originally have probably held a clock and would have had a glass dome standing on it. The dome could now be replaced or the stand could just be used as it is for a statue or to display jewellery, or just about anything.

The plinth is made of wood and sits on 4 sturdy feet. It has beading to the edge of the top.

It is painted in a sublime shade of old white with soft gold highlights. The paint has gently distressed to perfection.

The plinth is a substantial and sturdy piece. It weighs over 2 kg.

It measures :- 38.5 cm (15.1 inches) wide x 25 cm (9.8 inches) deep x 7 cm (2.75 inches) high.

This is a superb plinth to enhance a display and another divine antique French find from La Belle Étoffe.
