This is a divine antique French kitchen towel rack / accroche torchon dating from about 1900.

It is made from enamelled metal and is a substantial piece.

The enamel is in a fresh shade of white marbelled with pale blue and highlighted with a gorgeous French navy.

Along the top of the rack are the words 'ESSUIE - MAINS' (hand towel), 'COUTEAUX' (knives), 'VERRES' (glasses), and 'ASSIETTES' (plates).

The rack has 2 sturdy tabs with slots for attaching to a wall or cupboard.

The enamel is lovely and shiny with a little mellowing in places from the passage of time.

This gorgeous towel rack will add an authentic vintage French finishing touch to any cuisine.

It measures :-  W 40 cm (15.75 inches) X H 9 cm (3.5 inches).
