This is a divine antique French picture of a 19th Century girl on a swing. It is very unusual as it is made of tin mounted on a wooden frame.

The girl and the border are in relief in the tin. The girl is wearing beautiful clothes. Her gown is gorgeous and she is fully accessorised with a plumed hat, long gloves and shoes to die for.

The border of the picture is in a sublime shade of green and has a swirling acanthus leaf  design in the Rococo style.

The picture has distressed a little over the years and the colours have mellowed. The resultant effect is utterly charming and it is a very atmospheric little piece.

The picture has a ring on the back for hanging it on a wall.

It measures :- 18 cm (7 inches) wide x 24 cm (9.5 inches) high
