This is an exquisite antique French silk parasol dating from the 19th Century. It is a feast for the eyes, in excellent antique condition and would be a coveted addition to a collection.

It has a beautiful domed shape. The canopy is made of sumptuous silk in a fantastic shade of emerald green. The stick is long and elegant and has a carved ferrule and handle. A fabulous green silk tassel completes this stunning ensemble.

The parasol has survived the years in amazing antique condition. The mechanism is all good and strong. There is a little fading to the silk and I can find just 3 pin holes to one section (please see photos).

It measures :- 66.5 cm (26.25 inches) high and is 57 cm (22.5 inches) across the canopy when open.
