This stunning vintage French, Robert Four of Aubusson, woven wall hanging would certainly add a fabulous château chic finishing touch to a room.

It is of wonderful quality. The textile is a heavy woven wool which hangs beautifully. The scene is entitled 'Verdure Chantilly' and is after an 18th Century tapestry. It is printed onto the wool by a silkscreen process - the colours and detail are amazing!

The scene is of a beautiful rural vista with a château in the background. A river wends it's way through the scene and all around is a profusion of lush trees and vegetation. See the birds in the trees and by the water's edge.

Around this splendour is a gorgeous floral border.

The colours are stunning shades of green, oche,blue and red.

The wall hanging is in excellent vintage condition. It has a sewn pocket at the top to take a pole or batten.

It measures :- 190 cm (6 ft 2.8 inches) wide x 144 cm (4 ft 8.6 inches) high.
