B2127 - Charming Single Antique French Floral Tapestry Lined Chateau Curtain / Drape

This is a charming long antique French tapestry château curtain dating from the early 1900's. It has that 'always been there' look and would certainly add an authentic shabby chic finishing touch to a room. We also have a pair of curtains, B2126, which matches this curtain, listed in our other items.

The curtain is made in a woven cotton tapestry. The tapestry has a floral design with red and ochre roses on a dark champagne background.

The left hand edge of the curtain is sewn with a passementerie.

The top of the curtain is sewn with a modern curtain tape. The bottom is hemmed.

The curtain is lined and is finished all round.

We have left the curtain as we found it. The textile of the left hand edge has darkened and faded with the passage of time and there is some wear 37 cm ( 14.5 inches) in from this edge. When draped this does not show but of course the curtain could be cut and sewn to form a narrower curtain. It has not been dry cleaned.

It measures :- 242 cm (7 ft 11.2 inches) long x 120 cm (3 ft 11.2 inches) wide.
