B2128 - Superb Long Vintage French 'Tapestry' Chateau Curtain / Drape / Portiere & Rings

This is a superb long vintage French château curtain / portière dating from the mid 1900's.

It is made in a 'Medieval Tapestry' themed woven cotton. The background is a rich shade of claret upon which is a plethora of millefleur. Amongst the millefleur are symbols of Medieval imagery including lions, unicorns and minstrels. The colours are greens, blues and ochres which look stunning against the claret background.

The top of the curtain is sewn with a modern curtain tape upon which are clipped 9 wooden curtain rings (included).

The curtain is lined and finished all round.

It is in good vintage condition. There is a hint of fading to the left hand side and a few marks on the lining.

The curtain measures:- 239 cm (7 ft 10 inches) long x  130 cm (4 ft 3.1 inches) wide at the bottom and 115 cm (3 ft 9.2 inches) wide at the top.
