This is a gorgeous antique French gesso on wood gilded picture frame dating from the 19th Century. It comes complete with it's original glass and backing and holds a delightful signed photo of a mother and child.

The frame is of good size and would be perfect to make an impressive statement. It is oval in shape and has a divine bow crest with rose garlands to either side. The gilding is bright and beautiful with some minor distressing including an area right at the bottom of the frame which cannot be seen when hung (please see photos).

The frame has a metal fitting on the back for hanging purposes.

It measures :- 55.5 cm (21.75 inches) high x 41 cm (16.1 inches) wide.
The aperture is :- 39 cm (15.25 inches) high x 29 cm (11.4 inches) wide.
