B1971 - Fabulous Pair Long Vintage French Heavy Cotton Toile Chateau Curtains / Drapes

This is a fabulous pair of long vintage French toile curtains / drapes. They would certainly add an authentic château chic finishing touch to a salon.

They are made in a heavy, good quality cotton toile with large rural scenes on a cherry red background. The pattern repeat is 60 cm (23.6 inches). They are lined in a heavy calico, each curtain weighs 2.2 kg.

The curtains are finished all round and are sewn to the top with brass rings.

They are in very good vintage condition. There are a few light 'chalky' marks which do not draw the eye. There is a small area with dark dots on the right hand curtain (please see photos). There is a patch to the lining of one of the curtains.

We have left the curtains as we found them. They have not been dry cleaned but in our opinion are ready for use.

Each curtain measures :- 275 cm (9 ft 0.25 inches) long x 136 cm (4 ft 5.5 inches) wide.
