This is a beautiful antique French wedding couronne, bridal tiara dating from about 1900.

Onto a silk bound wire band are attached gorgeous wax flowers with tiny little stamens. The 'leaves' of these are made from silver thread wire loops with tulle covered wax paper interiors. The tiara has survived the years in good condition with just some frothing of the tulle.

The tiara is extremely light in weight and would be very comfortable to wear. It could be sewn on to a veil or incorporated into a hair style for a big day. It can be held in place by placing the adjustable wire loop under the hair at the back of the head.

The tiara would fit most female heads and  the front of it would be 6 cm (2.3 inches) high when worn.

This beautiful tiara would make the perfect 'Something Old' for any wedding or could just be kept and treasured for it's beauty.
